These pictures were taken along Moyie Lake....all pictures were taken within 10 minutes...
Interesting how the amount of snow...and cloud covered...

Changed the look of each picture....
It also changed the condition of the roads:)

Ukrainian Village

In the summer we visited the Ukrainian Cultural Center. It is a living authentic museum!! The most interesting thing to me were the homes they built when they arrived...
They would arrive in the fall...so these homes were a quick build (approx 3 days!) They would live in them until the spring when they could build their new home!
The pictures I took inside turned out too dark...but it did have all you needed...bed, table, cooking!
Hubby was intrigued at the quality of the building.... hmmm I wondered if he thought this was a plan for our new home:)

Morning Glory

On my walk this morning in the freshly fallen snow the park office was lit up!
With all the reno's.... I haven't gotten in the Christmas feeling so it's extra special to see the Christmas lights!!

I won't be using my little car today!! This car...or maybe the driver doesn't like driving it on any kind of snow...but tomorrow the snow will be gone and she will be good to go!
This is where we are tucked away when we aren't at our house....Ten more days and the trailer will be parked away for the winter!! Thankful for the warm evenings so we can live in it!!

Getting to the bottom of the Reno...

We were SO fortunate to have help with our Reno's ! It gave us a great boost....it seems the kids can work so much faster than us...Hubby's head was spinning he couldn't keep up with all they were doing!
We worked in the basement...the last of the painting is being done!
You can see....it really needed to be painted!!...
The basement had some very distinct rooms....
We will be moving in within the next two weeks !

Trip to the City

We now live in a small town and shopping is not so great...
We try to support the stores we do have ...but there are things that we have to go to the city for!
We headed out early ...
It is a bit over an hour drive...and a beautiful one!
First stop .... soon we are hoping our house reno's will be done!!

Next...we have friends in the City that we know from Yuma so we met up coffee...
A plus for the day!!
I did enjoy shopping in a few other stores.... I'm not a big shopper....but I must admit it was nice to be in stores that carried such a variety of things!!  I will definitely have to go back before Christmas!!

We returned to a little trailer.... Now back to renovating!!

How quickly things can change....

One day we were on our deck enjoying the warmth of the sun!
The next morning we woke up to this...

Three weeks ago we had lunch with long time friends.... 36 years of friendship!! The kind of friends that are always there!! I received a phone call from her....

We knew her husband hadn't be feeling well....but weren't prepared for the news....Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. They don't know how much longer he has.....

In an instant life changes...(you just have to watch the news to realize it can happen to anyone!)

It makes you look at your life different... you realize you only have right now...we don't know if we have any more time but the moment we are in...

Time is Free....but it's Priceless
You can't own it ...but you can use it

You can't keep it... but you can spend it.
Once you've lost it...you can never get it back.

Wild Life Area

This summer we visited the Creston Wildlife Management Area. It is an environmental reserve consisting of waterways, marshes, wetlands, channels, ponds, wildlife, lookout towers, sitting benches, dirt trails, boardwalk paths and an interpretive centre.

The Creston Wildlife Management Area is home to many animals. Some arrive to nest, others to feed. Some stay year round, others just visit. There are over 280 bird species, around 57 mammal species and 30 fish, reptiles and amphibian species in the wildlife management area.

It is a beautiful peaceful place!

We've heard that in the winter when the water freezes... you can skate...ice fish and cross country ski when it snows!!.

A Place to Settle

After our summer of changed plans....and decisions....we found a place to settle....
A house that needs a bit of work...

Has a view off the deck that we enjoy!!

We have left Alberta and now reside in British Columbia! It is an exciting change for us and we look forward to living in this little community!!

What to do.....

Selling our house was bitter - sweet.... to be honest...we had our moments of "What did we do?"!!!.....but as time went on it was freeing not have a place we had to be ...to cut the grass... to take care of!

I became quite content...with my little home on wheels!!! Hubby seemed to have a desire to be settled...a base... have his shop..

We had fallen in love with a beautiful little town in BC...Creston
We looked at homes....made offers.... but nothing worked out....
So we thought that maybe Creston wasn't the place for us...with family all in Alberta.... We weren't sure what direction to go...
So when we visited out children...we would look for homes in the areas they lived...
Northern Alberta..... Central Alberta....Southern Alberta....we looked... we made offers...but nothing!! I started to feel... like we would not be settled...
There we times we felt like if anything could go wrong... it would go wrong.... The towing....real estate deals falling thru.....then the new trailer.... first day in it...water leaks.... and fall was coming....

But through this all....we were continually reminded....

Be still....and know that I AM GOD!

Change

Almost five months since I have done a post.... shall I start again... or not.... ? I have been struggling with that question for a few weeks....
Here is where I sit..... in our new 'trailer'.... one of the changes that has occurred since I last posted. Our vehicle situation never worked out the way we had planned. We spent more time trying to get our towing package working...than we did traveling. Because of that....most of the destinations we had planned on visiting never happened!

But we had great times with children and grands...
A great family reunion!
We did lots of kayaking..
But with the towing problems....it was time to make a change ...so we said good-bye to our little RV

We purchased a truck and trailer...and have been living in it for almost two months.... but where we are is still another change....

We have enjoyed our time ...we don't regret selling our home...we have had a wonderful time even with our plans not turning out the way we had planned it.... but it is a reminder....

We can make our plans,
but the Lord determines our steps.

National Puppy Day

Miss Pepper…..she changed our life… But life wouldn’t be as full without her! She is a kind sweet puppy that always ‘try’s😳’ to please.
